Local music and local beer, what better way to spend a Sunday afternoon? Especially if it’s FREE.
This Sunday (August 23), the House of Blues is holding its 2nd annual Brewsiana festival, featuring beers from NOLA Brewery, Bayou Teche Biere, Chafunkta Brewing Co., Covington Brewhouse, Parish Brewing Co., Tin Roof Brewing Co., Gnarly Barley Brewing Co., Abita Brewing Co., Great Raft Brewing, Mudbug Brewery LLC., and 40 Arpent Brewing Co.
There’s going to be a bunch of music too, from Bonerama, Michot’s Melody Makers, Nonc Nu & Da Wild Matous, Gal Holiday & the Honky Tonk Revue, Jake Landry and Right Lane Bandits, Hazy Ray, Tear Drop City, and Palmyra. Also… burlesque dancers and magic! (Side note: the magician’s name is Magic Mike, which has a very different connotation these days, AMIRITE LADIES?)
The pricing of the event is pretty segregated. To get in the door and listen to music and watch Magic Mike, it’s $12. (All attendees must be 21+.) To get some beers, it’s $15 to get a sampling … |
