What has 48 taps of craft beer, dozens of vintage video games, a full-service 44-seat movie theater, and a kitchen that serves up an eclectic mix of burritos? Yes, my dreams also. Lucky for us, our dreams will become a reality at the new Crossroads location of the Screenland, dubbed the Tapcade, set to open on February 20 at 17th and McGee, just south of the KC Star press facility. Tapcade at Screenland CrossroadsNom nom nom. Sip sip sip. I met with co-owner Adam Roberts in the new location among stacks of chairs dusted with evidence of the nearly completed build job. The bar area can seat 100 people at tables and chairs and along the bracket-shaped bar inlaid with beer labels and bottle caps in arcade motifs. Behind the bar will be 48 no-crap taps – including two dedicated for nitro pours – and 50-some bottles and bombers of good beer.
