DC Brau Adds The Imperial, Monthly Can Committee Club

Two pieces of news from DC Brau for you this week.

We’ll start with a new addition to the Brau flagship family. The Imperial is a double IPA that tries to strike a balance between New England hazies and more traditional, ahem, shelf-stable offerings. It’s 8% alcohol by volume, and is “brewed with copious amounts of malted oats and Mid-Atlantic wheat creating a soft, pillowy mouthfeel.” The hop bill includes “El Dorado, Mosaic Incognito, and Sabro Cryo,” per a press release.

“Imperial IPAs have been a favorite style of ours throughout the years — from On the Wings of Armageddon to Alpha Domina Mellis to Space Reaper, but they’ve always been seasonal offerings,” says Co-Founder and CEO Brandon Skall. “We’re excited to finally have a unique DIPA to stand alongside our flagships The Corruption, The Public, Joint Resolution, and Brau Pils all year long.”
