Jeremy Altier, Head Brewer at Great Baraboo Brewing Company, was the host with the most at the brewery on Friday. The brewery celebrated 19 years of success in Macomb County. Among festive balloons and plenty of customers, the atmosphere was alive with Friday nite revelry. The entertainment was provided by Kevin Covert and Shane Sanders, independent musicians that played cover songs — a little bit of everything. With the gorgeous Michigan summer weather, the patio was packed. And, there was a four tap system outdoors to keep guests refreshed. Altier brewed several new beers for the event. The Banana Nut Bread had a smooth nutty flavor, with the Ginger Wit having a mild ginger flavor that increased as the beer sat a little longer. But, my favorite had to be the Honey Rye Pale Ale. It had a great honey kick of flavor, along with the mild hops. Other beers brewed for the anniversary event included 19th Anniversary Boo-hemian Pilsner, Draak Plus Witbieraboo and an Oak Aged Old Ale. The gr … |
