Growlers, Growlers, Everywhere!

I met Aaron Banks, the MidMO Beer Guy, at the Missouri Beer Festival last Spring when he was passing out a flier about a new, more encompassing growler law he was trying to get through the General Assembly in Jefferson City. That bill eventually failed, but Aaron pushes on! He now has a petition up on MoveOn to urge Missouri lawmakers to make it legal for most anyone with a liquor license to fill a growler.

I saw the potential ramifications of something like this when visiting family in New York, where just about every large gas station had six or seven taps. Really. Just imagine a stop into any QT could be where your growler is filled with local craft beer while you decide on your chips and fill your gas tank. Brilliant.
