The results are in from last weekend’s Iron Brewer event, and the numbers are staggering. This homebrew event was to support the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, and support it you did. The final tally was 2,955 pounds of food collected and $576 raised. What this means is that the food bank can provide 5,342 meals from what you donated just to drink some homebrews. How freaking awesome is that?!?! My team ended up winning the people’s choice vote with our The Wrath of Pecan beer, but that’s secondary. What really matters is that a bunch of guys and gals from all across this state brewed a lot of beer that a lot of people enjoyed while giving back to this community. Thank you for coming out and supporting such a great cause. And thanks to Tin Roof for hosting this event for the 3rd straight year. |
