Hopslam by Bell’s Brewery. It comes around once a year and now to South Dakota! A beautiful blend of hops, honey and spice. It’s still on the shelves in Sioux Falls. 10% ABV. My ranking – 5 out of 5.
The Abyss 2015 by Deschutes Brewery. We just tapped the 2015 variety at Ben’s in Yankton and it’s still as good as I remember. 12.2% ABV. My ranking – 4.75 out of 5.
Crossover by Odell Brewing Company. A sour aged in white wine barrels. A bright, tart creation. 7.1% ABV. My ranking – 4.5 out of 5.
The Abyss Scotch 2016 by Deschutes Brewery. If you have some money burning in your pocket, this is a way to spend some quickly. It’ll probably run you $21 – $26 if you can find it all. Obviously what we have here is The Abyss aged (12 months) in Scotch barrels. That barrel picks up all kind of new complexity. 12.3% ABV. My ranking – 4.5 out of 5.
