National Homebrew Day May 7th

Saturday May 7th is National Homebrew Day (yes, it was officially recognized by Congress), and the American Homebrew Association marks the occasion with events all over the country to celebrate Big Brew Day.

In Baton Rouge, LA Homebrew will be hosting an event and invites everyone to participate. The shop will be brewing a 25 gallon batch of homebrew, and encourages anyone who wants to come watch and learn to come on by. Additionally, you’re also invited to actually brew your own beer at the shop, and if you do, you’ll get 15% off all your ingredients. So bring your homebrew gear and plan to hang out with other homebrewers while learning and/or teaching a thing or two.

There will also be smoked pork shoulder available, and I’m sure a beer or two will be shared. Make plans to go check it out this Saturday.
