What is Tour de Fat?
Tour de Fat is a wacky, whimsical and family friendly festival and celebration of bicycling.
Tour de Fat is FREE and open to the public. The day is jam-packed with live music and entertainment, local vendors, interactive bicycle activities, and of course beer! This ballyhoo of bicycles and beer is sponsored by theNew Belgium Brewing Co, makers of Fat Tire beer.
All proceeds from beer and souvenir sales benefit WABA, Black Women Bike DC, Fairfax Advocates for Better Bicycling, the Mid-Atlantic Off-Road Enthusiasts, and Phoenix Bikes.
Follow your folly all day long:
- 11 a.m.: Bike Ride (10 a.m. Registration) – Kick off your Tour de Fat day with a huge bicycle party on wheels! Arrive in your wackiest, craziest, most ridiculous duds to join us at 11am (ride registration begins at 10am) for a fun and frolicking ride through the Waterfront and Capitol Hill neighborhoods.
