GRAND RAPIDS — New Holland Brewing Co. and Rockford Construction announced Tuesday its plans for a multi-purpose construction project on the corner of Bridge Street and Broadway Avenue NW. The project will bring New Holland to Grand Rapids’ West Side, in addition to residential and retail space. “Today’s announcement is another example of investing in the community as Grand Rapids’ growth continues,” said Grand Rapids Mayor George Heartwell. “We look forward to having New Holland Brewing Co. as a business here.” The New Holland space will include a distillery tasting room, a brewery and restaurant. New Holland expects its part of the project will create approximately 150 jobs. The brewery will also house it growing sour beer program (known as The House of Funk) at the new location, as well as produce whiskey on-site.
