Off Color Troublesome

Off Color Brewing is up in Chicago. I don’t know much more than that. Other than they apparently like to diss on Jeremy Danner. They made this little beer named Troublesome. I dig it.

I like the labels. And I have an art degree … so, you should listen?

It smelled spicy, like coriander. And tart, like a Berliner Weisse. Altogether, very reminiscent of champagne. The pale yellow – and highly carbonated – beer tasted far less tart than is smelled. I thought I tasted some honey, though the beer was not sweet. Lemongrass and bready wheat played into it as well, with some very mild funkiness. Troublesome would be an excellent summer quaffer. It’s light-bodied, moderately tart, very refreshing, spritzy, and fades away quickly. No trouble at all.
