Ranger Creek Brewing Small Batch Series No. 8 – English-style Bareleywine

Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the NorCal Beer Blog’s brew review.
Tonight’s featured beer is Ranger Creek Brewing Small Batch Series No. 8 – English-style Bareleywine. I picked up this bottle while in Texas at Hall’s Wine & Spirits (here) which is a must visit bottle shop if you find yourself in or around Dallas.
From the Ranger Creek Brewing website: “Unlike its American barleywine counterparts that showcase their hop character, this English-style barleywine highlights a complex malt profile. It pours a rich, deep brown and features notes of caramel, toffee, ripe fruit, and leather. It’s strong and complex with a soft background of spice giving depth to the malt flavors and providing an overall balance. At 10% ABV, it’s made to be laid down like a fine wine, and the character can change significantly with proper cellaring. Enjoy this rich, complex beer now, and age another for later!”
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours a hazy copper color with a nice cream colored
