From an email: Devils Backbone, one of our favorite local, and highly-decorated, breweries is coming to Rustico Ballston next Thursday to show off some of their newest collaboration brews.
Devils Backbone worked with Coronado to craft Devils Tale, a Black IPA using old, mid, and new school hops, while their collaboration with Ninkasi produced an Imperial Rye Pale Ale, and with Fat Head’s they whipped up an Imperial IPA with a blend of Southern Hemisphere and German hops!
In addition to several year-round Devils Backbone brews, the crew from Virginia sent us some rare beers for the event as well! We’ll have Carob Porter brewed with carob, sorghum, and vanilla; Barclay’s London Dark Lager that is based off a 1930’s recipe for an English-inspired Dark Lager; Beech Grove Brown Ale that is brewed with locally-malted barley and wheat; Dopple Vienna Bock, a ramped-up version of their award-winning Vienna Lager; Old Glen, a malt-driven English Strong Ale with hints of toffee and caramel; a
