Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s four breweries and a pair of newcomers, one down in Socorro and the other in Los Alamos, also joining the party. Stoutmeister puts on his serious face to handle The Week Ahead in Beer. OK, as I warned last week, this here feature got delayed a bit. But it was for a good cause, I swear. Franz Solo and I went to Denver and Boulder, saw some awesome Finnish melodic death metal, and of course indulged in lots of local beer. From Wynkoop (mediocre beer but great food) to Great Divide (cross that one off the bucket list) to TRVE (so metal, we felt at home) to Prost (I was back in Germany like when I was a kid, only now I can drink the beer) to Avery (they had 30 taps, people, 30!), we did good up there.
