Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s eight breweries, one in Los Alamos, one in Moriarty, one in Red River, one in Silver City, and one in Truth or Consequences also joining the party. There is not much this week in the way of new canned offerings (as of our Wednesday publication, at least), but we wanted to highlight a couple good ones coming out at Ex Novo this Friday. After a long wait for its fans, Pastel Polo returns in cans only. Made with key lime, vanilla, and lactose, it definitely hits a lot of those dessert beer notes. For those who would rather indulge in hops, snag some No Time for Fantasies, a new West Coast IPA available in cans and on draft. Brewed with Amarillo, Chinook, Citra, CTZ, and Simcoe hops, it should help you fight the never-ending pollen swarms … |
