Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s six breweries, one in Socorro, one in Los Alamos, and one in Moriarty also joining the party. Stoutmeister puts on his serious face to handle The Week Ahead in Beer. Palmer Brewery has been quietly churning out one to three beers at a time in its shared location with Left Turn Distilling on Girard, just south of Candelaria. This weekend, though, marks the brewery’s grand opening, with six beers on tap, live music, and more. Everything will officially kick off Saturday at 3 p.m. and run until Sunday at 5 p.m. There will be games and prizes, plus tours of the brewing and distilling areas in the back. The beers on tap will include Guero (Belgian wit), Stout, Pale Ale, MWA (Malt With Attitude), Scotch Ale, and a special rum barrel-aged Scotch Ale.
