Kansas City’s second newest brewery, Torn Label Brewing, can already be found on tap around the Missouri side of the metro. However, they felt that only on one side of the state line isn’t really being a true Kansas City brewery. So today, Torn Label announces they will begin distributing their beer to Kansas. The two driving forces of Torn Label, Rafi Chaudry and Travis Moore, grew up in Johnson County. So there’s some neighborhood pride involved. Rafi says, “The first place we met was at a coffeehouse on 135th and Quivera, so on a personal level it’s deeply meaningful for us to launch in Johnson and Wyandotte Counties. Those are the bars and restaurants where we cut our teeth discovering craft beer, and those are where the true origins of Torn Label lie, even if we didn’t know it at the time.” Standard Beverage will immediately begin distributing kegs in the two metro Kansas counties.
