Two Fantastic Years for Honolulu Beerworks

It’s amazing how fast two years can go by and how much a little local brewery can grow in that amount of time. It seems like yesterday we were all eagerly awaiting Honolulu Beerworks to open their doors and fill the very big void of local brewpubs here on Oahu. Now, they are coming up on their second anniversary and hosting a huge party on Saturday, April 9th to celebrate the milestone.

The future is looking bright for Honolulu Beerworks as well. Owner and brewer, Geoff Seideman, recently started construction on a brewery expansion that will allow Beerworks to grow to 4500 barrels a year. Earlier this year they took over the back half of the building that will soon house more fermentors, a new keg station and a canning line. Seideman says he hopes to increase Beerwork’s draft presence around the island and eventually expand to the neighbor islands. He anticipates cans to be released later this year in 6 packs.
