The Week Ahead in Beer: Charities, brunches, and belly dancers abound

Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s six breweries, one in Los Alamos, one in Moriarty, and one in Las Cruces also joining the party.

There are a whole lot of unique events going down this week. It all kicks off Friday, which is of course the first Friday of the month, meaning the Downtown Art Walk is back. As in the past, the downtown breweries and taprooms will participate, including Duel and Sidetrack. That same night, the Desert Darlings are celebrating the second anniversary of Sirena World Dance Studio at Kaktus in Bernalillo. The free show kicks off at 7 p.m. There are three events going down Sunday. This Saturday, Second Street will be donating a share of every beer sold in Pints for Parkinson’s at all three locations.
