Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s eight breweries, one in Los Alamos, one in Moriarty, one in Red River, one in Silver City, and one in Truth or Consequences also joining the party. It’s the dead of winter, even though it doesn’t really feel like it out there. Oh, it’s chilly, but there’s no snow, and we’ve got articles popping up telling us how the current drought may lead to the Dust Bowl 2.0, which is just another case of bad history repeating itself. Anyway, here we are in winter, in the midst of stout season, and there’s a slew of hop-forward beer cans rolling off the line for this week.
