Every year, it seems, some publication or just incredibly vocal person on social media screams out that the IPA craze is over, that hops are dead, and people are moving on to whatever is newer and trendier and being made in far-off places like Oregon or Vermont. Every year, New Mexicans just shrug off these claims and keep buying hop-forward beers in truly ridiculous quantities. Thus, our breweries are forced to keep making those ludicrous hop bombs, like Father Nelson, which returns this Friday on tap and in bombers at La Cumbre.
