Uh-oh, brewers are collaborating! (All photos courtesy of Kaylynn McKnight) There is always something special when two of our local breweries collaborate on the creation of a new beer. For Chama River and Nexus, it happens to be even a little more special than usual today. The two breweries on opposite sides of Interstate 25 have created The Lighter Fare and The Darker Fare, an ESB and an Irish dry stout, just in time for that silly Irish holiday. Beer lovers can combine the two (Darker is on nitro) to create a perfect Black and Tan for the holiday. The story behind the collaboration goes beyond simply two brewers working together. St. Patrick’s Day holds a little extra meaning for Chama brewer Andrew Krosche and Nexus brewer Kaylynn McKnight. It happens to be their third anniversary as a couple, as well as her second anniversary at Nexus.
