Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with the reunified edition of The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s four breweries and one newcomer down in Socorro also joining the party. We tried hard to keep the state edition going, but without participation from the breweries outside the I-25 corridor, it was futile. Stoutmeister puts on his serious face to handle The Week Ahead in Beer. As the weather is about to drop from this weird, balmy level of unusual heat for this time of year to exceptionally cold (polar vortex again), the biggest, meanest beers are beginning to hit taps. A great example of this is Blue Corn’s new Imperial Stout, a monster beer (900 pounds in the mash tun) that will debut Thursday night with a special event.
