Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s six breweries, one in Los Alamos, one in Moriarty, and one in Las Cruces also joining the party. Stoutmeister puts on his serious face to handle The Week Ahead in Beer. A few years back, I almost forgot Mother’s Day. I was sitting at Canteen Brewhouse, and my saving grace ended up being the fact that Irish Red (mom’s favorite beer) was on tap at the time. I brought her a growler, which she said was a nice one-time gift. Now, since your mothers may not be craft beer fans, buying each of them a growler/crowler for Sunday might not save you from packing the bags and going on a guilt trip. Luckily, there will be Mother’s Day markets this Saturday at Bow & Arrow and La Cumbre. Get those last-minute gifts while enjoying a pint.
