The Week Ahead in Beer: Saying Gracias (Por Fumar) after saying thanks

Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with the reunified edition of The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s four breweries and one newcomer down in Socorro also joining the party. We tried hard to keep the state edition going, but without participation from the breweries outside the I-25 corridor, it was futile.

Stoutmeister puts on his serious face to handle The Week Ahead in Beer.

Last week we gave thanks. This week La Cumbre says gracias, as in Gracias Por Fumar. The smoked porter is back and it’s getting released in bottles this time around in addition to going on tap at the brewery Thursday. This is not the GPF you might remember, though, as this batch was barrel-aged for a year. Yeah, La Cumbre is gonna beat us upside the head again with another big, delicious beer. And this is just one of several upcoming special beer release gatherings to help us get through the long days and nights.
