New Belgium – VooDoo Ranger Atomic Pumpkin: Caramel, pumpkin and cinnamon dominate the nose here. Peppers are also present. The tastes follows suit with sweet pumpkin and caramel. Cinnamon and peppers round out the end. I don’t think the spices are too overpowering, it’s a nice change of pace for a pumpkin ale. 6.4% ABV. @ DABC Prost Brewing – Marzen: The nose here has nutty toffee with light grassy aromas. The flavor has toffee, nutty cake and toasty biscuit. Mild grassy/floral hops round out the end. A solid example of an Oktoberfest. 5.8% ABV. @ DABC Shades of Pale – Slick City Citrus IPA (Nelson Savin, Mosaic): The nose has tropical aromas accentuated with pine and berries.
